Recent Omni Downtown Cnn Review: "I decided to do a guys trip with my 3 sons, ages 16, 13 and 10. We started in Auburn, AL for the national championship celebration. We then drove to Atlanta and pulled up at the front of the Omni hotel where valet service was waiting. They unloaded all our stuff and took our car away. Cost $30 day but that was expected. Check in took 2 minutes and we had a beautiful view of the city from the 24th floor. We then went down the elevator to the lobby, then walked through the food court to Philips arena to watch an NHL game vs. the NY Rangers. Never had to go in the cold. The next day, we walked across and took pictures in Centennial Park while headed to the Georgia Aquarium. Spent most of the day there, then went ice skating back in Centennial Park. Went back to hotel where our room was clean, and then changed and went to see Linkin Park that evening in Philips arena. Yeah, we could have stayed somewhere cheaper, but the location and having two events at Philips were unbeatable. Reason is that Philips arena and the Omni are connected to each other. Beds were comfortable, although the pillows were pretty deflated. Our two double beds were not queen, just full size. So it was a slightly tigher fit while sleeping. When we left, there was no need to check out since valet cost was charged to my on file credit card. I called in 5 minutes ahead and by the time we got down to the North tower lobby, my car was sitting in front ready to be loaded up. I got instructions on how to get back to I-85S and they were accurate and easy. I had a great trip spending time with my 3 boys while my wife was seeing her family in Pensacola that weekend. If you have an event in Philips arena, I highly recommend the Omni hotel."
