Recent Motel Atlanta Downtown Review: "I live near Atlanta but for this event staying downtown would be worth it if I could find something inexpensive and not too dumpy. I've never even noticed this place just to the side of the major downtown hotels but the rate and reviews were good enough I decided to try them. In short, it was clean enough to feel completely comfortable in, and I'm the kind of person that carries disinfectant spray and wipes to hotels and didn't feel a need to use them this time. It also felt secure because you needed a room key just to enter the hall on each floor...something only a few exclusive floors of most big hotels offer. It was an easy (uphill) walk to the heart of downtown, which you were practically in. Bonus: If the weather is bad or you are mobility impaired, you can walk next door (100 feetr) to the Hilton and take a bridge into the Marriott and another bridge from there to the Hyatt, which lets you out on Peachtree Street...and I think there is another bridge into America's Mart if you are going there, but you should skip the Hyatt and take a different bridge into Peachtree Center. These hotels also include amenities you can enjoy such as cafes, bars, sundry shops and public gathering spots that the Motel 6 does not have. Parking was not in a gated lot, and most of it is underground, but it is FREE! That's unheard of in downtown. I don't consider this a drawback considering I was looking for low price in a decent place, but soap is the only consumable in the room. The vending machines have shampoo, toothbrushes, etc. (even RockStar energy drinks) It's easy enough to bring these things and save money to me, but it's important to know this if you are coming here. I read it in another review and was prepared with my own."
